Our Review

This hotel is a no-frills affair, suited best to those looking for a clean place to sleep without paying too much for it. Many guests comment on the bathroom set up and although they are clean they do have a portaloo feel. Otherwise though a good option for a budget traveller.

The Custom House ExCel Hotel is a 278-room property located just opposite the ExCel Centre in the Docklands area of London. It provides comfortable accommodation to meet all guests’ requirements with in-house restaurants serving varied cuisines: a Chinese restaurant, a Café-Bar and an award-winning, traditional English Pub. The guestrooms and lobby offer high-speed wireless Internet access, while rooms have en-suite shower rooms, and are equipped with standard amenities. The hotel also offers car parking facilities at a rate of 10GBP per day (correct at May 2009.)
