Really good time in the hotel. Spacious room, clean, very comfortable bed. Breakfast good and can recommend the evening dining.
Top Tip
A little way out from all the major sites but a good bus service a few yards from the hotel. Liverpool Street a 10 minute walk away.

Good hotel with breakfast served on the 7th floor that has panoramic view of London as its best feature. Situated in the recently modernised, trendy area of Shoreditch / Spitalfields, it may not be to everybody's liking as the high quantity of bars and clubs can make it a bit 'rowdy' especially towards the weekend. About a 7 min walk to Liverpool St. Station, however there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that serves about 6 different buses which is handy. One thing the area sorely lacks is a decent proper Supermarket like Sainsburys or Waitrose. There are only 'Metro's' or 'Express' style which just don't cut the mustard, I'm afraid. It's a good area for people wanting to explore another side of 'central' London besides the usual, well trodden paths of Oxford Street, Knightsbridge, Sloane Square etc.
Top Tip
Get the free 'East London quirky shopping guide' which is worth its weight in gold. Gives the lowdown on Shoreditch and the immediate surrounding area and mentions all the essential funky places, markets, restaurants and shops leaving out the boring bits. Try Vintage Heaven in Columbia Street, (especially when there's the Sunday flower market) for funky 2nd hand household teasets and other crockery, but above all for the cake shop (it's called the CakeHole) out the back that does FRESH home baked cakes and cream teas that are to die for! Nearly everything you see down to the furnishings is for sale too!

We were disappointed in the standard of the evening meal. At 7pm there was only one portion of monkfish left and the rib-eye steak was grissly and tough. We ordered small glasses of wine and the price of large glasses were put on our bill. It was redone when we pointed out the mistake.
