I feel a bit 'ripped off' as we were offered a room upgrade on arrival for £50. We accepted and were put in a room that was pretty basic and stank of gloss paint which was disgusting. We would have asked to be moved but we had to get to the Albert Hall for a show so didn't have time. Breakfast was a scrum and we were offered a table right where people were queuing for the hot buffet and so moved ourselves. No small bathroom soaps so if you prefer a bath to a shower you have to stand up and pump the liquid soap bottle that has been fixed to the wall at shower height! Just little things but if you're only staying for 1 or 2 nights not a great impression to leave your guests with.

Excellent location for the Albert Hall, and the closeness of the tube made the whole of London easily accessible.

Excellent location for the Royal Albert Hall.Lift a nightmare, too small for the number of guests and housekeeping also used the same lift. Restaurant could not cope with the number of guests at breakfast, resulting in queues. However, a good breakfast, fantastic selection of fruit. Lovely bathroom, but double bed pushed against the wall made life interesting.

Disappointingly, we walked back to the hotel after the perforance looking to eat at approx. 10.45 Only burger King and Garfunkels were still serving at this time, which came as a surprise.

The building is old, corridors very narrow, the lift didn't work for two days and we were on the 4th floor. The hotel was so hot even though we had no heat on in our room, but a fan was provided on request. On the second day we realied that our room door didn't lock.
Top Tip
Convenient to walk to the Underground, the Albert Hall and Natural History museum. Shops and restaurants nearby.

The hotel was great, the upgrade is impressive and very stylish. Just 2 things affected my overall enjoyment; the main one was the prices in the Bar £8.00 for a single Bailey's makes for an expensive round of drinks when there is four of you. It meant that we had a drink elsewhere. Also the lift was out of order.
