If travelling from Heathrow using the underground Piccadilly Line be aware that the lift at Earls Court Tube Station is out of service until April 2012. Either change to the District Line at Hammersmith or Barons Court or be prepared to climb up an 83 step spiral staircase from the Piccadilly Line platform to street level.

This is a gem of a hotel in that it's affordable whilst being really conveniently placed for Tube travel. My girls' twin room seemed a bit cramped but not too bad and my single room was actually spacious. All staff we had dealings with - whether on the desk, in the restaurant, or cleaning rooms were really friendly and cheerful. I wish this hotel a long and happy life as I plan to use it whenever I am in London in the future! Oh, take note the lift is temperamental .. a couple of times it didn't go where we thought we were headed for!

Very well located in a street off the main road. Near Earls Court station.
rooms a little small and all rooms are not accessible by lift. Had to carry suitcase up a flight of stairs.
Restuarant not very good. Ordered a light meal and did not get what we ordered. Sent back to the kitchen only to be told that what was on the plate was corrent not the description on the menu. Asked to speak to the Manager and after quite a bit of time finally got most of what we ordered and the Manager said we did not have to pay because of the inconvenience.
Breakfast that was included in the price was just okay.
Top Tip
Plenty of good quality pubs and cafes to eat at near the hotel.
Used the London Pass with travel to see all that London had to offer. A very convenient way to get around and see all the attractions. The London Pass booklet gives you a decription of the attraction and how to get to it. Saved a lot of time looking up maps etc. Very good value for money.
Purchased theatre tickets at half price venues.

Hotel is less than 5 min walk from Earls Court Underground Station which gives direct links to Heathrow Airport, West End, Central London etc. Bus services are very good also. Not sure how suitable hotel would be for anybody with mobility difficulties as there seem to be steps up & down to get anywhere.

lovely greeting on arrival, availability of staff to ask questions and they were helpful with our queries and questions about how we could get to different places.
Room was a little draughty but then temperatures were stupidly low at the time of our stay.
food in hotel restaurant was lovely
