Our Review

The Ibis Excel is housed in a modern purpose built property, overlooking the Thames. The accommodation is basic and functional, with guestrooms being simply furnished and decorated, and equipped with minimal amenities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the hotel's restaurant, which is a bright airy area, and has a casual atmosphere. After the restaurant closes snacks are available from the bar. This hotel best is best suited to budget travellers, who simply need a no frills clean base for their trip.

The hotel is located 150 metres from the ExCeL Exhibition Centre. It is ideal for business in the City or at Canary Wharf, and is only 15 minutes to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. The city can also be accessed by the DLR, the nearest station being Custom House, which is just a short walk from the hotel.
