Royal Norfolk

25 London Street Paddington , London W2 1HH

Our Review

Though it’s housed in an impressively traditional building, the consensus about the Royal Norfolk is that it has the same slightly shabby atmosphere as many budget hotels in London. None the less, some guests do praise the helpful staff and hearty cooked breakfast.

The conversion of two Edwardian London terraced houses into one 60-en suite room hotel makes the Royal Norfolk an ideal base for visitors to the Paddington, Bayswater, Edgware, Maida Vale and Hyde Park districts in central London. It commands an enviable position at the corner of leafy Norfolk Square and London Street. All 60 rooms have full en suite private bathrooms or showers. Tea and coffee hospitality trays, television including 15 freeview channels, radios and direct dial telephones offer the business or leisure guest great value. Safety box and ironing facilities can be requested at the front desk. The hotel also offers a complimentary luggage storage for all guests. WIFI is available throughout the Royal Norfolk Hotel allowing wireless connectivity from laptops and pda's. Some rooms overlook the peace and quiet of Norfolk Square, others the trendy bars and restaurants in London Street.
The hotel offers variety of dining options a Scotch Steak House, a Lebanese Kebab House and "Dickens Tavern" (a traditional English pub). Together they allow guests a choice of wining and dining styles in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. The first floor dining room overlooking London Street, is reached by the hotel elevator or main staircase and is open from 7.15am until 9.45am each morning, serving individually ordered cooked English breakfasts.
